An Early (or Late) Monthly 'Live-by'

I know, I know it's been a while, and between revision and birthday celebrations there's barely been time to breathe, never mind blog! But, I should't complain; I know I'm the type of person who'd much rather be busy than bored, however I also know that as my exams approach, blogging is going to have to take a bit of a backseat (as much as it pains me to say)...

However, my love of quotes continues, and when this quote popped up on my pintresst news feed I absolutely fell in love with it!

Especially as a blogger, I identify with this quote. I think it's all too easy to constantly check your Blogger stats and followers, and become a bit obsessed with making an 'internet name' for themselves. But personally, I'd much rather be one persons favorite blog, than have 100s of followers that just glance at my writing. I think it's important to apply this quote to everything in life because after all, it's not a competition!

  Have you got any 'live-bys'?

Ten things that make me happy this month...

This January has been a pretty bland mixture of revision, work and just generally being busy (with the occasional hot chocolate thrown in there). But it's not been all bad... just not blog-worthy, which is the main reason that I haven't blogged in so long (a whole 25 days!!!) along with my recent lack of blogging fuel. So, this is just a quick, reflective post on my January:

1. Celebrating my lovely friend's 16th- Happy Birthday again Rhi!

2. Getting tickets to see Ed Sheeran *screams*

3. Spending time blog surfing, and finding some amazing new blogs!

4. Having a nice hot drink (in my favorite mug) after walking home from school.

5. Meeting the smallest pony I have ever seen!!!

6.Hand cream- hand cream always makes me happy...

7. Seeing my whole family.

8. Watching Taylor Swift's Grammy performance- pure genius.

9. Rereading one of my all time favorite books...

10. And finally, having a rather dramatic hair cut...

Here's to another month!

Monthly Live-by #4| January 2014!!

Happy New Year Bloggees!! 2014- wow it sounds weird... 2013 feels like its only just begun, but on reflection its been quite a year. For one it saw the birth of this blog, crazy stuff I know.

Anyway, we all know that "new year, new me"  is a load of crap, but we can take small steps, which leads me perfectly onto my monthly'live-by'...

I get so excited when I think of all the things that are going to happen this year. I'm finishing school, starting something new, my mums getting married, (and there maybe some new blog projects in planning(, so much to look forward too!

2013 served me well, but I'm grabbing 2014's metaphorical bull by the horns, BRING ON THE OPPORTUNITIES!

P.S Happy Birthday to my beautiful friend, Rhianna. Have a good 'un!

Monthly Live-by #3| December

To be honest, I completely forgot about this post in the chaos of November, and that's bad because I I've doing these posts so much! Anyway...ITS CHRISTMAS!!!! So I wanted this months 'live-by' to reflect this time of year.

Personally, I think I hold back too much, exclude myself from things I shouldn't, and over time I've defiantly got better at this, but I'm not the best. So, this months quote represents my new years resolution...

It simply means do it, whatever it is, and you'll figure out any problems later... so that is how I am going to spend my month... Short. Easy. Simple.

  Have a very merry Christmas!

Birthdays, Burgers and Cocktails

On 18th August, a few years back, Rebecca was born! So to celebrate we had a little get together, and nowhere says 'Happy Birthday!' quite like TGI Fridays!

But whenever one of my friends have a birthday, I always have the same problems... "what shall I get them? What can I wear?" Finally I decided to wear my bargain white lace dress, which I hadn't had chance to wear yet, but I had so much trouble finding the perfect gift! Then I had a light bulb moment! I gave her a sparkly box, and filled it with some of her favorite and some essential things (of course chocolate was included!)
Me and Birthday girl

As always, TGIs never disappoints! We had a great time, and didn't stop laughing (especially at Becky's standing on the chair) Then, somehow we ended up sitting at a bar having a 'Son of a Peach' cocktail, non alcoholic of course!

So, I had an amazing night, with amazing company! Becky, I hope you have the best birthday ever Chum Chum!!
