An Early (or Late) Monthly 'Live-by'

I know, I know it's been a while, and between revision and birthday celebrations there's barely been time to breathe, never mind blog! But, I should't complain; I know I'm the type of person who'd much rather be busy than bored, however I also know that as my exams approach, blogging is going to have to take a bit of a backseat (as much as it pains me to say)...

However, my love of quotes continues, and when this quote popped up on my pintresst news feed I absolutely fell in love with it!

Especially as a blogger, I identify with this quote. I think it's all too easy to constantly check your Blogger stats and followers, and become a bit obsessed with making an 'internet name' for themselves. But personally, I'd much rather be one persons favorite blog, than have 100s of followers that just glance at my writing. I think it's important to apply this quote to everything in life because after all, it's not a competition!

  Have you got any 'live-bys'?

Birthdays, Burgers and Cocktails

On 18th August, a few years back, Rebecca was born! So to celebrate we had a little get together, and nowhere says 'Happy Birthday!' quite like TGI Fridays!

But whenever one of my friends have a birthday, I always have the same problems... "what shall I get them? What can I wear?" Finally I decided to wear my bargain white lace dress, which I hadn't had chance to wear yet, but I had so much trouble finding the perfect gift! Then I had a light bulb moment! I gave her a sparkly box, and filled it with some of her favorite and some essential things (of course chocolate was included!)
Me and Birthday girl

As always, TGIs never disappoints! We had a great time, and didn't stop laughing (especially at Becky's standing on the chair) Then, somehow we ended up sitting at a bar having a 'Son of a Peach' cocktail, non alcoholic of course!

So, I had an amazing night, with amazing company! Becky, I hope you have the best birthday ever Chum Chum!!

Finding My voice

I think being a teenager is mainly about finding who you are and what you want to become. It's all about setting yourself up to be an adult, as well as having fun being young.

Especially this year, I think I've started to become more...myself. I've tried my hardest to participate in new things. Things I never thought I'd want to do a couple of years ago. This blog has become my platform, where I'm free to express myself, to help others, and connect with people all around the world. However, one thing I've particularly found difficult about blogging is finding the right topics. Inspirational, enjoyable and interesting things to say. Which is one of the reasons I didn't start blogging sooner. Thinking "why would anyone want to listen to me?"

But when one of my favorite bloggers Louise, aka Sprinkle of glitter, said she'd changed the theme/function of her blog before, I thought "why can't I do that? Why can't I experiment?" Which has lead me to want to begin experimenting with my blog....its time to change!! My advice to you is to keep pushing your boundaries, you'll be surprised how far they stretch . If you don't, how can you possibly reach your full potential? Just carry on because only you can find it...
Honestly, I am so proud of this blog and anyone can do it! This is me...I'm finding my voice and shouting it to the world! Watch this space, and find your voice!

Thank you,

Growing Up...

This year I have really started to feel old, mature and in charge of my future. Honestly, I didn't really notice  until a friend put a photo on Facebook, and I couldn't believe how old she looked! Which is exciting, but also quite daunting... Even when I was younger I never really wanted to grow up. I saw my sister getting older and it looked really scary! (and boring). But, to be honest I have enjoyed trying new things and new experiences.
Always been a shop-oholic!

That doesn't mean I don't miss being a child, running around the garden and putting peg bags on my head (yes, I was a strange child), its just being ready for new things. I still have no idea of what I would like to do later on in life,so this year, I've really tried to be involved in as much as possible. Which is ultimately what lead me to do this blog. I think that if I try doing as many different things as I can, eventually I'll find what I really love doing and know where I really want to be in 10 years time.

So for now, I'm just going to have fun being a teenager, do what I enjoy, and don't too stressed out about things that I don't. As long as I'm enjoying being this age, I'll have no regrets...
We're really maturing (hehe!)

Look at us now!
Remember your memories, but live for today.

Thank you,
Hannah Louise

Show Me That You're Human...

Humans cant break. Some say we're fragile, and a lot of the time they're right. Humans aren't perfect, everyone has scares and things that they would rather forget. But you should embrace them!

I'm writing this blog post because too many people suffer from a low self-esteem, especially teenagers. I was listening to my favorite album, English Rain by Gabrielle Aplin, when one particular song caught my attention. Human.
It says " love your flaws and live for your mistakes". So, find the things that make you happy, go places that you love, and laugh the next time a friend tags you in an ugly photo on Facebook. Be proud of yourself and people will respect you.Do as you want. We have all had times when we haven't wanted to do anything, just stay in and watch TV or lay in bed. But that won't make things better. Be the best version of yourself, be the type of person you want to meet.

I hope this helps anyone who is having a hard time. I strongly recommend listening to Gabrielle Aplin's music, she is extremely talented! Just remember, the people who judge you and are constantly knocking you down, their self esteem is even lower than yours. They aren't really as perfect as they seem. You are the lucky one. You can be successful, just like Gabrielle and millions of other people like you.

Show me that you're Human. Stay positive.

Thank you.
